Mr. Murphy served as Executive Vice Chairman of Cadence Bank from 2021 to 2023, having served as Chief Executive Officer and chairman of the board of directors of its predecessors Cadence Bancorporation and Cadence Bank, N.A from 2009 to 2021. From 1990 to 2009, Mr. Murphy was employed by Amegy Bank of Texas, where he served in senior leadership roles, including as Chief Executive Officer from 2000 to 2009, President from 1996 to 2000, and as a director of that bank from 1994 to 2009. Mr. Murphy has been a director of the general partner of Natural Resource Partners L.P. since 2018.
