    Oceaneering Space Systems Receives Prestigious NASA George M. Low Award

    February 27, 2009

    February 27, 2009  – Houston, Texas – Oceaneering International, Inc. (NYSE:OII) announced that NASA has awarded its Oceaneering Space Systems division the 2008 George M. Low Quality and Performance Award, NASA’s premier honor for quality and performance.  The award recognizes Oceaneering for its demonstrated outstanding achievements in the areas of technical and managerial excellence, teamwork, safety, and customer service.  The award is given in two categories, products and services.

    Oceaneering was nominated for the award by NASA’s Johnson Space Center in the product category for outstanding performance over the period 2006-2008.  Oceaneering was also nominated in 2007, when it was selected as a finalist.

    Mark Gittleman, Vice President and General Manager of Oceaneering Space Systems, stated, “It is an honor to be selected from among NASA’s entire contractor and vendor base for this prestigious award. We look forward to continuing our close and successful collaboration with NASA as the United States explores the solar system under NASA’s Constellation program.”
